Wenn Engel reisen - When Angles travell...

... scheint die Sonne
... the sun will shine.

Funny enough this was the case the day I left Hong Kong to fly back to Germany.
All week long it was cold, rainy and cloudy.
Temperatures below 15°C.
No sunlight...

Then I started packing my stuff again and the weather improved a lot.

No, I do not want to start guessing what the reason for this is, but the last time I left Hong Kong I barely made it before the nearing Typhoon closed down the airport.

Any how.

I am back in Germany now and I enjoy the time I have with my family.

Here are a few impressions from my last visit in Hong Kong.

The first night I took my colleagues to a typical Chinese restaurant (can't remember the name though)

It was very good, but I just can't get used to the fact, that they chop the food with all the bones still inside. :-)

After lunch the following day we took a stroll through the '"Wet Market" near Times Square on Bowrington Road.

Amazing :-)

Finally I had a little snack at Starbucks in Tung Chung where I made some last minute shopping...

One Stop Over in Istanbul, as I was flying with Turkish Airlines...

But that is a different story

Oh yes. there is a Starbucks too. 

Next stop will be Hannover again.

So stay putt. More to come

Hong Kong again...

Yes, that's right.
I will return to Hong Kong.
My flight leaves tomorrow afternoon but this time it is only for a week.

Nonetheless I look forward to this trip.

Let's see if I remember how to get to the clients office in Wanchai :-)

Long Time no Post....

...and yet still no real changes for me.

So here I am, back on my way to Hong Kong. Sitting in the Emirates Lounge in Dubai again.
In 2 hours an Airbus A380 will carry me to Hong Kong, where I will be another 3 weeks.
Home for easter holidays and back again.

My big hope is, that my family will join me in Hong Kong next month!
This reminds me: I need to update that web-page above.... :-)

On my way home again

It has been 3 weeks Hong Kong now and I am finally sitting at the airport to get home again,

Tomorrow at 6:30pm I will land in Frankfurt.

Can't wait to see my little family again!

Lan Tau Trail

Yesterday I did my last hike in Hong Kong.

It was Stage 7 and 8 on the Lan Tau Trail that has some beautiful views and goes along beautiful beaches.

Beautiful empty beaches. wonder if they are that empty in summer time...

Up up and away we go...

We started at the 'you are here' and went all the way up and then down to the dam.

Thanks to the people that invited me to join I had the opportunity of seeing 'the other side' of Lan Tau.

They did it! They came to Hong Kong!

My little family finally made it to Hong Kong!

It was a 12 hour flight for all of us and after arrival and a little rest we went to a very traditional and old Chinese Restaurant

The obligatory trip to Disney World was done and my kids made friends with Goofy :-)

We were lucky to enjoy an awesome firework ...

and drove back to our hotel tired but happy.


They went back on Sunday again and arrived safe home again.


I will stay until the 28. Jan. and then end my Hong Kong project for now.


Let's see what comes next.

Back to Hong Kong

In 2 Days I will grab my family and head to the Airport to get the plane to Hong Kong.

Yes you read that right. This time I will take my family with me.
It will be an exciting adveture for my kids.

They will stay 1 week and fly back again next sunday.
I will stay 2 more weeks.

Hope the weather is ok, so that they can do some exploring and maybe even spend a day at the beach...

Let's hope for the best

Hong Kong again

Gee, Time flies!
I have been in Hong Kong now for 2 weeks again and another 2 ahead!


I do miss my family! Hope to be united with them soon.

Meanwhile check out the pool of this hotel located on the 11th floor.

FRA - Dubai - HKG

Sitting in the lounge at the Dubai Airport for 4 hours.
My connecting flight to Hong Kong will take off in approx 1 hour.
Although the lounge of Emirates Airlines is huge and has a lot to offer.... after 3 hours....

Oh well. tonight I will be in Hong Kong again. This time for 4 weeks!

I'm back! :-.)

It has been now 3 weeks that I have been in Hong Kong.
Yesterday I returned and my family picked me up from the airport.
That felt great to see them all again.

now I have 1 week at home and I will be off again for another 4 weeks.
Hope to arrange a visit from my family there. I guess there should be enough for them to keep them busy during the day... :-)
