Hong Kong again

Gee, Time flies!
I have been in Hong Kong now for 2 weeks again and another 2 ahead!


I do miss my family! Hope to be united with them soon.

FRA - Dubai - HKG

Sitting in the lounge at the Dubai Airport for 4 hours.
My connecting flight to Hong Kong will take off in approx 1 hour.
Although the lounge of Emirates Airlines is huge and has a lot to offer.... after 3 hours....

Oh well. tonight I will be in Hong Kong again. This time for 4 weeks!

I'm back! :-.)

It has been now 3 weeks that I have been in Hong Kong.
Yesterday I returned and my family picked me up from the airport.
That felt great to see them all again.

now I have 1 week at home and I will be off again for another 4 weeks.
Hope to arrange a visit from my family there. I guess there should be enough for them to keep them busy during the day... :-)

Saturday quality time with my baby girl

It is saturday and I have time to spend with my little girl.
My wife in on her way to Kassel where she will play her first squash game of this season.
She is part of the Squash team of  Town Squash Kassel and today is season opening.
Our little one went with her, as he just LOVES to ride the train!

IPMA Level D Success story

Today I had my final exam.
It was tough.
It was a long day and
I had to wait the longest because I was the last to take the final exam...
BUT I DID IT!
I don't know the results from the written test, but I am confident!

So on to new challenges....
How about some new projects?
Common. Gimmi somthing new.
I can handle it!

IPMA Level D

In 2 days I will have my final exam for getting my certificate.
If all goes well I will then be a certified level D project manager .
:-)
That was a tough 3 months to get here now.
But I would say it was worth it. I got to know some great people and I had quite some fun.

And they did it!

My kids ran the 400m at the Bambini-run in Friedberg
Check out the fun my little boy has. And you have to consider, that he rode his bike to Friedberg, ran the race and rode home again.
That is a 5k biking tour both ways. Not bad for a 4 year old!

Oh well. maybe next time

It is september, ok. But why does that imply the beginning of autumn and cold and rainy weather?
Oh well. Guess it is time to turn on our heating again.
Due to our solar-heating system I turned off the central heating compleatly in June. the sun took care of heating up the water for me!

Back home again

I arrived late Friday morning after spending a night on the flight back home.
sleeping on planes is not that much a fun as one might think... 2 beers did help a little though :-)


Will propably be back in the US on the 23rd. of August.

Sprinfield again

So finally I am back to Springfield again.
It is warm and quite humid.
But as I have a lot to do during day time I only get the plesent night temparatures which are bearable :)

This morning I woke up at 5:30 (jet lag issue ;-) and as my hotel room faces east I had a fantastic sun rise... What a way to start a day.

Back in the office

This week we finaly got an air condition installed. That makes working a lot easier :-)

Weekend

It's the weekend and our schedule is packed!
Today our kids had their Kindergarden Summerparty. They did an awesome performance and had a lot of fun although it was a weather as in April. Sunshine and rain in a steady mix.... :-)

And tomorrow we plan to take the kids on a boat hike. Several other families will join us. Alltoghether we are approx 20 people (including 10 kids :-) ).
We plan to paddle down the river Lahn and make a BBQ at the end.

We do look forward and hope for great weather.

Two men are standing on a golf course. The first one steps up, tees his first ball, and positions himself for a swing. The man lifts his club, swings smoothly down and smacks the ball into the air. It sails off in a nice, long arc, but as it comes down the two men can see that it's heading straight for the water trap.

Just then, a wind picks up, and a lily pad is blown directly into the ball's path. The ball lands on the lily pad, and after a few seconds a frog hops up onto the pad, grabs the ball in its mouth, jumps off the pad and swims for shore.

When the frog reaches dry land, it spits out the ball, and no sooner has it disappeared into the water than a squirrel comes running up to the ball, grabs it in its paws, and scampers off across the grass. But before it can reach the trees, a hawk swoops down out of nowhere, grabs the squirrel in its talons, and begins to climb back up into the sky. Panicked and struggling to get free, the squirrel releases the ball from its paws, and with the altitude and speed gained from the hawk, the ball sails down in a long, clean fall straight into the hole. Hole in one.

The second man turns to the first, and says "OK, God. Are you going to play golf or are you going to fuck around?"

Back in our Frankfurt Office

Hey World.
It is Friday and my day in our Frankfurt office.
Arrived home yesterday at 9pm. Just in time to give my kids a good night kiss :-)

This will be a nice and long weekend, as Monday is a public holiday! Ascension Day

It is 7am and I am on my way to my massage due to my back problems.
Where oh where is the sun? Would have been much easier to rise at this early time with a little sunshine on my face...

a squash partner in Hannover at last

Today is the day where I will hit the ball again.
Has been some weeks now.
But my colleague gave in and accepted my invitation for a little squash battle.
Let's see how that will end. He is a tennis player, so I expect at least some feeling for a raquet and a ball... :)

Monday

It's Monday and I'm back in Hannover.

Let's see if I find a squash-partner this week.
My colleague promised to bring his indoor sport shoes. That might be a willing squasher...
I want to try the "Kaiser Center" near by.
It is said to be a big and good sports center with nice courts.
I'll keep you updated.

Gee, Time flies when you're busy. And I was busy the last days, which is why I did not post any news...
Anyhow. Tomorrow is "Vatertag" and that is a public holliday in Germany. And as this is a thursday, I took friday off too.
That gives me 4 days quality time with my family and friends.
Awesome!!!

Squash in Hannover

This time for 5 days.

I need some sports and running round the Maschsee is nice but not the same as a good match of squash.

It's a sunny (but cold) friday and I am back in Frankfurt. I am sitting in the 8th. floor and I can see miles and miles today... The Taunus looks great.
I need to jump on my MTB and go for a ride.
Maybe I will do just that after work...

This week we are in an other hotel due to some industrial fair goning on in this city.
This is a bit closer to the clients site, so that give me some 10 minutes more sleep ;-)

It's been my first day back in our Frankfurt office after 4 weeks.
Was nice to see the colleagues again and have a match of Table football again :-)

Tomorrow I will be on my way to Hannover again.

The only side effect (well for me that is...) all the trees are "exploding" and with that my allergic reaction to Birch trees, Hazelnut and others make my life a little bit misserable...

4 days at the client in Hannover.
4 days without my kids around... not too easy for me AND not so easy for my wife who is all alone at home.
Oh well. That is the life I choose.

Tomorrow morning I will have to leave my beloved family at 6:30.

I will head to Hannover City and stay there until Thursday.
This will go on for some time. Let's see how I will manage the distance to my family all these days again. Been a while...

It is Friday and finaly my beloved wife will return from her ski-trip to St. Jackob in Southern Tirol / Italy. Here the Link to a live webcam from the "Defereggental" view point. I had one week where I was Daddy and Mummy at the same time...
Guess I did a good job (ok, the cleaning and dish washing and ..... ;-) ) but I had a lot of help from my mom and dad. THANX FOR THAT!

TGIF again...

OK folks, so here we go. It is Friday afternoon and I'm about to go pick up my kids from my parents house, where they spent some quality time (or so I hope :-) ).

My mom always takes some pics when her grandkids are around. Can't wait to see these.

Tomorrow my beautiful wife and I will go to the Taunus Therme to have some relaxing quality time in the sauna. It sure is about time for that. She had some hard weeks preparing for her next examn.

1st. day back in the office

Today was my first day in our Frankfurt office after 4 weeks of holidays.

All in all: nothing new... Same faces... same view from the 8th. floor...

Oh wait. Frankfurt is "snow white". THAT is different from the last time I was in the office... :-)

My baby girl is feeling better now, so she can go to Kindergarden tomorrow again. Phew. Just a short intermezzo with the illness...

As my little girl now has the same upset tummy that my boy had some days ago, I decided to work from home today. That way my wife can spend more time with her studies at university.
Her last exam is in a couple of days from now, so she better be prepared!
My baby girl is sleeping now, which gives me a little time to bolg a little post :-)
